Examples of erosive polishing
Erosive wire polishing can be used to produce contours similar to external cylindrical polishing.

If the volume of material to be removed is not too large, wire polishing can perform the task in a competitive time. Its main advantage is in the production of highly accurate micro-contours with excellent reproducibility. This method can achieve surface finish qualities comparable to external cylindrical polishing. Maximum component weight is limited to 5 kilograms.
